Decho Product Synopsis Decho (pronounced "Dek-o") searches drives or folders for files and sort or prunes the results according to multiple criteria. Primarily, this allows for finding and handling duplicates of files. I started this project in 1999, and was completely rewritten a few years later. It has served my purposes very well, but it was never developed into a proper release product. It has a few limitations and really needs a third rewrite, but that is unlikely to happen. Nevertheless, it is still quite useful and I make it available here on an as-is basis. There will be no documentation or support, but the primary functionality is self-explanatory. Decho also contains some advanced features such as the ability to read and handle the 0-byte files and .filesproxy files created and used by my other products 0BFileMaker and ReinDir. This way, if you, for example, create 0-byte files or a .filesproxy for a group files that you then move to another medium, Decho can use those files in searches for duplicates. So files already moved to another location (e.g. CD/DVD) will still be represented in Decho and local files that are identical will be marked as such. This is very useful if you move files to another medium periodically but still need to verify if new files may be duplicates of something you already have.
